Zoë + Dave | Engaged | Neve Tzedek | Tel-Aviv | Israel
Zoë and Dave hold a special place in my heart, because well...Zoë is my seeeeeester and Dave is my soon-to-be bro-in-law! YAY! They have been living in Israel for the last two years while Dave completed his Fulbright Scholarship. I've (obviously) known them since the beginning of their relationship and have watched them endure long-distance like champs, as well as witness their unwavering support and commitment through some dire situations. Their laughter together is contagious, and it truly warms my heart to see her so happy. I can't wait to celebrate their wedding next year and be the annoying sister who lives next door. What boundaries, am I right??
They gave me free reign to pretty much shoot wherever I wanted for their engagement photos. I know she's related to me and all, but when couples can let go of how they think their photos "should" look, they end up having so much more fun and really getting images that capture who they are together.
I absolutely loved their little apartment in Tel-Aviv so I wanted to capture it's delightful, minimalistic atmosphere for them to remember. I know they grew to love it and their life there together, so I wanted to document a little slice of it before heading out into the city.
Neve Tzedek is the picturesque little neighborhood we explored for the rest of the evening. Each street and side street with their own quaint personalities. Colorful window shutters, climbing vines, and cobbled streets.
Not only did I have an amazing time exploring the country with you, but your engagement session couldn't have gone better! I can't thank you both enough for letting me stay with you in Israel, and sharing this amazing city with me! I know Zoë and I are already planning the next time we will be back to visit!
