Dani + Nick's Southern California Engagement Session

Dani and Nick are from Chicago, but have a deep deep love for Southern California, so they knew they wanted to incorporate all the beauty we have to offer into their engagement photos! On our planning call they just couldn’t decide between a vineyard or the beach, so I said, “Why not both?!” One of the great things about San Diego, is you can get from sprawling hillsides to the beach in 30 minutes, cause we have it all!

We started their engagement session with a romantic, carb and wine filled afternoon at the picturesque Cordiano Winery, nestled in the hills of Highland Valley in North County San Diego, a family-owned and operated vineyard that takes pride in the craftsmanship of quality wines and of the labor practiced for ages in the old country.

We spent the afternoon chomping down on the most delectable charcuterie board, cheesy handmade pizza and sipping fantastic wines, all while wandering the gorgeous vineyards and snapping these to-die-for images. Then we hopped in my car, complete with 90s boy band vibes and all the windows rolled down, and made our way to La Jolla Shores beach where we finished off their session with a beautiful sunset and popped some champagne to celebrate!

With our toes in the sand, the wind in our hair and Scripps Pier in the background, Dani and Nick were so effortless to photograph! You can just tell how low key obsessed with each other they are, and even random strangers on the beach would stop to congratulate them on their engagement.

They will be celebrating their wedding at Morgan Estate in Temecula and I literally can’t wait to capture all the love and rad dance moves for these two next year!
