Heather + Ryan's Boho Beach Soirée
YOU GUYS! You guys! You. Guys. Listen up, because this wedding gave me all the feels. Not only are Heather and Ryan wonderful friends of mine, but their day was INCREDIBLE! They really just wanted a fun day with their closest family and friends, and boy...did they succeed!
Heather and Ryan tied the knot on September 9th, or as Heather calls it, "the best day evaaaa!" It could not have been a more perfect day. They got ready at the Catamaran Resort which fit their boho-tropical theme so well! I loved exploring the grounds, and finding little hidden gems that made great photo ops.
Getting ready was such a fun and actually relaxing part of the day. Not only is Heather my friend, but a lot of her bridesmaids are my friends too, so it was just like a big brunch date catching up with my gal pals.
I'm gonna tell you a little secret...I am REALLY bad with names in real life. I can tell you that obscure character's name from Game of Thrones and how he's connected to all the main people, or a Harry Potter character I've read once, but when it comes to real life, I'm just the worst, haha! I think these guys knew I was bad with names, because they introduced themselves with nicknames like "Hammer" and "Dragon." How could I forget names like that??
I've said it before and I'll say it again. First looks are EVERYTHING. They are my absolute favorite. There are just so many good good things about them.
Their ceremony and reception was at the Del Mar Powerhouse right on the beach with amazing views of the ocean as the backdrop for their amazing day. Their whole day was about family and friends coming together to celebrate their love, and what better way than to have one of Heather's oldest friends from middle school marry them!
One perk of having a first look is that you get to enjoy your cocktail hour! Especially if you're planning to sneak away for some sunset photos like we did. (Keep scrolling to see the gorgeousness).
Take notes gentlemen! Ryan's best man, Brian, kept a beer glass from the first night they met and bonded over football and beer because he KNEW he would gift it to Ryan on his wedding day. How crazy is that?! I cry a lot at weddings, but bromances like these just make me lose it.
We snuck off after dinner to catch the sunset, and it was EPIC. If I could just make a blog post about all the sunset photos I would, but that would probably get really boring for y'all.
Then it was time to cut the cake and get the party really started!!
No shortage of dancing shenanigans at this wedding!
Thank you Heather and Ryan for choosing me to share and capture your "best day evaaaa!"
